Over the months September through November of 2021, I immersed myself in the issue of deep sea mining to produce the film "In Too Deep" for the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition.
Deep sea mining could become the largest industrial activity the ocean has ever seen. However, it's not too late to stop it if we take action now: www.defendthedeep.org and www.savethehighseas.org.
The film has received an honorable mention at the Jackson Wild World Wildlife Day, had its world premiere at the International Ocean Film Festival in San Francisco, won the grand prize at the Ekofilm Festival in Brno and "best director" at the On The Beach film festival in Bulgaria and has been shown at numerous other film festivals around the world.
As of April 2023, the film will also be available on the Waterbear platform.
Many thanks to all who've contributed and a special mentions of thanks to Jeroen Hoekstra and his team at Big Pixel Studios for their fantastic animation work and to Konstantin Johannes at The Sound Republic for his wonderful audio mix at the last minute.
