In the iconic canals of Amsterdam, a group of passionate young innovators is pioneering a creative solution to combat plastic pollution. The world's first Bubble Barrier is preventing plastic from flowing to the ocean. It does so through an underwater curtain of bubbles which drives plastics to the surface and into a catchment system. The technique is harmless for water life and safe for ship passage and is now being expanded to other locations.
